Hi, I have a CR0451 set up as a master, I want to connect a CR2014 and read 2 analog inputs, I have put in the CR2014 EDS file. Does the CR0451 automatically recognize the CR2014 inputs as local or is there something else I have to do to read these inputs?

Thank you,

Go to PLC Configuration, right click on the CANopen Master, Append Subelement, then select the CR2014AE. You will see the device then listed as System R360: I/O CabinetModule. Under this you will see the Can-Outputs and Can-Inputs. This is how they are mapped. The analog channels have a default configuration of analog so you won't have to change anything there.

Import the attached blocks. Jeremy built these Scale blocks, I never end up using the NORM function block any more thanks to these.

If you haven't done and import before its just Project, Import. Then you will see these blocks show up in your POUs tab. If you use the Input Assistant (F2) to grab blocks these will show up under User Defined Functions.

Thanks, I assume my max input value coming from the CR2014 would be 1023 as its 10bit?

Another question, I am using the CR2014, which is analog input 0-5Vdc input, my cabling runs are quite long, therefore I went with 4-20ma sensors, and am using a 250 ohm precision resistor across the CR2014 analog input and ground. Any problems with doing this?

You should be fine with that.
