Default Enabling a USB keyboard for displays running v3.3.0 or lower

Below is the procedure to enable a USB keyboard on displays using codesys 3.5
I added what is needed for production

    1) Unzip attached files
    2) Determine if using a touch or non-touch screen
    3) From the proper directory of the zip file (touch or non-touch) use an ftp client to copy the file capp_start.sh to the following directory on the pdm : \home\etc\
    a. Pdm login: root
    b. Pdm password: pdm360ng
    4) Open a telnet client such as PuTTy and connect to the display (make sure you set connection as telnet)
    a. Pdm login: root
    b. Pdm password: pdm360ng
    5) When connected, type the following command in the telnet client: touch \home\etc\ifm\CAPP
    6) Reboot with the keyboard attached and your codesys application will now be able to utilize the USB keyboard.

If the process gets messed up you can always reset the display by reinstalling the firmware.

This process only needs to be done on the engineering display. For production, BUP files will be made to a USB drive that will install the firmware and the application. The application will copy all the files you just installed and created into the bup on the USB drive. When in production all you need to do is install the firmware and application from the USB stick using the back-up/restore utility in the PDM config program.
