Default CR0451 Initial Setup and Downloading

Anyone have a simple step by step to get the downloader tool setup and download firmware on a CR0451?

Any special settings needed (baud, ID, protocol)?

My CR0451 and programming tool are the only devices on the network, LED is flashing at 5hz.

There are two options VCI1 and VCI2, are these a device driver reference?

My device came with a VCI3 option, is this not supported?
(I have an IXXAT USB-to-CAN compact)

You will need the Maintenance tool, not the Download tool for the CR0451. Attached is a short manual for loading the firmware into a CR04xx (basic series).

You will need to download the Maintenance tool. It does work with the Ixxat so you should be good to go there.

The default download id is 127 and the baudrate is 250.

Compiling the template causes error 3624: Target settings VisuFilesInCode=1 not compatible with Platform=3.

    Any thoughts?

You get this error with Codesys after opening a template for the CR0451?

Try starting a new CR0451 project from scratch selecting the latest target profile and then import the proper libraries (use the latest versions on your harddrive). Use the template as a guide to which libraries you need.

Also, you need to be using the latest version of codesys from teh ifm web site.

Updated to most recent codesys, everything now compiles correctly. Was on 2.3.9.6
