    Default Batch mode documentation

Document describing the use of the download tool in batch mode. Creating a batch file can help automate the installation of firmware and application files on ifm controllers.

Is there a command line switch for the V6 downloader under Options-File Options -CSV?

I would like the ability to change the separator from the command line? It is not in the documentation.

This is a setting you can set once inside the download tool. There is no batch command switch for this. But you can go into the downloader settings and change the separator.

Yes you can change it but it doesn't save. Once you close the downloader it reverts back to the semi-colon. The downloader is a cool tool but missing a few really important features that power users would want to wrap around the application. It would have been easier if there was a DLL associated with this application that the End Users can use directly.

Should have a way to get feedback as to the state of the process being executed. It's only a windows message box. An easy quick fix would have been that at least the downloader creates a file with the status in it and your application can read it. So at least before you call the downloader your app deletes the file then you call the downloader and the downloader writes status info into the file and creates it once the process requested is complete. Your application then sees the file is now available and can check the status in the file. How easy is that?

Doesn't save the CSV file separator and no command line switch.
