Thread: CR0505 PWM Control_OCC

    Default CR0505 PWM Control_OCC

I noticed that for the Control_OCC function block on the CR0505 that a min and max valve current must be supplied. However, for mobile applications the voltage being supplied to the PLC can changed based on whether or not the alternator is running. Does the CR0505 maintain a PWM output of 12V? I ask because if not, is there any way of adapting the current range to take into account voltage increase or decrease or would that only be possible with a voltage regulator? Thanks.

No it does not maintain a 12 VDC. In current control its constantly varying the PWM duty cycle to maintain the requested current.

You will need some other type of regulated voltage supply or move to a PLC that has this built in, such as the CR0303 or the CR0032.
