    Default Managing Cr108x Retained Variables

Is there any way of preventing retained variables from being overwritten when updating application software (similar to the MEMORY_RETAIN_PARAM function block) in a Cr108x display?

You could read/write them to a file.

I would write your parameters to a CSV file on the linux file system and retrieve them when needed. You could use the write_csv_8bit function which creates a file under your designated file name and saves it into the file structure. Pulling the data from the file should be easy enough, I would have to check on how to do that later. I regularly use the write_csv_8bit function but I dont retrieve the data within the display, I send the file out to the usb.

    Thanks,

Appreciate the feedback. I've only written CSV files to an external USB drive in the past too. I'll have to play around with it when I get a chance. Thanks again.
