Default IO Module CR203x won't work, Light flashes fast green

This is an indication that the firmware for the IO module is either not installed or not in run mode.

Using the ifm downloader and a can adapter (PCAN is recommended) you can connect to the IO block and try placing in run mode. You will need to use the downloader tool in CAN mode.

If placing in run mode does not work, you will need to contact ifm for instructions on how to remedy or replace the unit.

Set the Node ID on the IO module to F or FF (if there is one or two rotary pots for the module) and the Baud Rate to 4. In the downloader tool you can then use 125k for the baud rate and 32 for the Node ID to set the unit in RUN mode again.

    NOTE!!!

You can cause a unit to drop out of RUN mode by having an IO module (CR20xx) connected to a CAN device and running the downloader tool and scanning for Download ID.

Here is a program for the CR0451 that will also put the units back into run mode.

Here is the CAN messages needed:
You simply need to send the 4 frames below to wake up the IO Module:

    0x650 ? 0x620 = 0x30 = decimal 48 = Node ID 48 = in this case

    Or use the Maintenance Tool:
